MNT ERA-Net

MNT ERA-Net is a network of regional and national funding programmes for Micro and Nano Technologies (MNT) with the aim to reduce fragmentation of R&D funding in Europe. MNT ERA-Net makes these funding programmes accessible to transnational consortia and opens calls for proposals for transnational R&D projects in the MNT area.

MNT ERA-Net is seeking proposals for commercialisable R&D projects. All MNT topics are covered in this call, but the respective regional/national thematic programme priorities must be taken into account. To obtain detailed programme priorities it is strongly recommended to contact your regional/national funding agency (see attached document).

Call is open from January till May 2007.

Call for organisations to propose FP7 independent experts

The European Commission has published a call for proposals for organisations to propose lists of prospective independent experts to assist the Commission's services in connection with the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).

The Commission will appoint experts:

to assist in the evaluation of proposals in line with the various scientific, technological and socioeconomic aims of FP7. Evaluation work includes making recommendations on ways to gear research towards optimum achievement of the aims of the specific programme concerned
to assist in the monitoring of projects selected and funded by the Community, including, where necessary and as appropriate, the monitoring of projects funded by the Community under previous research framework programmes;
for other purposes where specific expertise might be required (e.g. monitoring of the implementation, evaluation and assessment of impacts of RTD programmes and policies).

Early registration of interest is particularly encouraged, in order to allow the Commission to make use of the lists of prospective experts for its first proposal evaluation sessions under the Seventh Framework Programme, expected for March 2007.
